Hot Remix

14 January 2008 by Mic Mell Leave a Comment

In 2008, I participated in a contest on Indaba Music and sponsored by Berklee School of Music.  The contest was simple enough:  Take a song written by Berklee student Chris Han, and recorded by jazz greats Greg Osby and Joe Lovano and some Berklee cats.

I locked myself in the Junklab for two days, programmed some drums, re-recorded keys and bass, and spliced a pile of sax tracks.

The terms of the contest only allow me to give the mp3 away.
